Welcome to my info page for this years Extra-Life fundraising event on November 2nd. This will be my second year participating and once again I'll be raising money for the Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. Last year I played Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for about sixteen hours straight (takinga few breaks for food and other things of course). This year I have a few ideas in mind, but one in particular I'll likely go with.
One of the YouTube projects I've been thinking of doing in the near future is to do a minimalist run of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I've never attempted this before, so it would be an interesting challenge. Basically I'd only be collecting the items that are absolutely necessary to beat the game glitchless (I've seen runs where the player somehow skips on getting the Silver Arrows...I on the other hand will be getting them). This is one of my ideas.
The other major idea was to do a complete run of Chrono Trigger. However, there are two issues I'd run into. First, I'm not sure how long Chrono Trigger would take, but I'm guessing likely longer than Super Mario RPG, which leads into the second issue: I'd like to do more than one thing this year. This is of course all depending on my work schedule. At the very least I'll likely take on the Link to the Past minimalist run. Beyond that, I'm not sure but I'll have something planned.
That's about all I have for now. Stay tuned for future updates as the event approaches. Also, check out the links below to my donation page for this years event as well as a couple videos from last years event.
